We needed to decide on a starter kit to try and as we always want to have a full overview of the e-cig products we review, we went for the EverSmoke UltimateStarter Kit.
Priced at
a rather impressive $149.99, you will get your hands on a standard capacity
“Mini” battery in automatic, an extra-capacity “Long” battery in automatic, an
extra-capacity “Long” battery in manual, a personal charging case that charges
your battery and holds the cartridges at the same time, a USB cigarette, wall
charger, USB charger, car charger, carry case and a set of 15 cartridges in
flavors and strengths of your choice. So, everything there is. Did we mention
that you could make your decision on battery color as well?
EverSmoke Battery
A nice thing about the EverSmoke e-cig battery is that you can choose the color and they don’t just have the generic
normal cigarette-looking ones. You can make your choice from black, white and stainless
steel. You could also choose them in standard and high-capacity, obviously the
latter being the longer version of the two. The normal one or the “Mini” is
said to give you at least 250 puffs. The high-capacity battery is said to give
you at least 350 puffs. Did we get that many puffs out of it…?
We can pleasantly report that the high-capacity battery DID give
us as many puffs as we had hoped for. We got between 300-350 puffs out of the high-capacity battery. If
you want to know what this means, we took it off the charger at 7:00am, used it
almost constantly until around 9:00am when we started work. Had a few stolen
puffs on it when we could get away with it (because it still fitted nicely in
our pockets, despite its high-capacity nature) plus half an hour to 45 minutes
worth of chain-puffing at lunchtime. A few more stolen puffs throughout the
afternoon until we finished work at around 6:00pm, headed home and used it
pretty much constantly throughout the evening. We found that we needed to put
it on charge at about 8/9pm at night.
The standard capacity battery wasn’t as impressive but still
managed to give us a day at work out of it. As long as it was just stolen puffs
throughout the day and a bit of chain-puffing at lunchtime, the standard “Mini”
battery was enough. We generally found ourselves using the longer battery
during the day and then, when the long one was put on charge in the evening,
used the short one until we went to bed and took the long one back off charge
again in the morning.
In short, this means that if you are buying EverSmoke for your
first electronic cigarette, then you will probably only need one long battery and one
short battery if
you are a “regular” user. If you are more of a heavier user, or are worried
that you might use your e-cig quite a lot (for example, if you are only just
making the switch from conventional cigarettes to e-cigarettes), you may want
to get an extra short one but that’s probably all you’ll need.
